2022 | competition with marco fernandes
This proposal for a Bus Rapid Transit (BRT) line in Porto reimagines mobility along the historic Avenida da Boavista, linking Praça Mouzinho de Albuquerque to Praça do Império. Developed as part of a public competition, the project emphasized urban integration, public space enhancement, and architectural coherence along one of the city's most emblematic corridors. Through discreet, well-scaled interventions, the proposal sought to balance transport efficiency with the preservation of Boavista’s civic and cultural identity. This linear intervention aimed to integrate the BRT infrastructure within the existing urban fabric while enhancing public space, pedestrian connectivity, and mobility along one of Porto’s main east-west axes.
