In an existing property located in Foz do Douro, Porto, an old manor house characteristic of the 18th century, the proposal seeks to develop single-family dwellings. Although the project is still at the feasibility study stage, the design intention is clearly defined.
It involves the construction of a new volume adjacent to the existing house, conceived as a contemporary intervention that establishes a deliberate contrast with the solidity of the original stone-built structure. This new volume aims to convey a sense of lightness, both in its materiality and architectural expression, positioning itself as a subtle yet intentional counterpoint to the historic main house.
